Mike Weeks' professional expertise as a licensed fishing guide has made him very successful. Mike has fished East Texas lakes since 1972, when man-made Lake Palestine was originally built. His vast knowledge about the region's waters is invaluable for those looking to have a successful fishing excursion on Lake Palestine. Mike has made Lake Palestine his base for guided fishing because, as he says, "When it happens here, why go anywhere else?"

Mike's goal has always been to be the best fishing guide on Lake Palestine and he remains dedicated to it. He loves to fish, but, even more, Mike loves guiding his clients to the finest fishing experience they could ever imagine. He especially enjoys the reward of seeing a child catch their first fish. Patient with the inexperienced fisher and offering specialized advice for the veteran, Mike assures his customers that they will enjoy a successful Lake Palestine fishing trip and stands behind his word.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Dec. 31)

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 65 degrees; 0.24 feet below pool. Water temperatures holding in the mid 60s with no major changes in the temperature forecast. Looks like fishing into the new year will remain fair to good for all species, no big ups or downs, at least according to the weather forecast. What we are looking forward to, though is warmer than average temperatures, at least so far into this winter, could lead to earlier movement of white bass up the creeks, and earlier movement of both bass and crappie into the shallower nesting and spawning areas of the lake, particularly in the northern part if we do not get heavy rainfall. Another trout stocking in the two Tyler city parks right after New Year's, so that short, quick trips of at least some fishing will be available, even if Lake Palestine is weathered out. Report by Jim Beggerly, Jim’s Fishing Lake Palestine.
